Welcome to the Cheltenham Mini and Juniors !
Registration for 2009/10 now open - come and join us !
We are a successful club based at Newlands Park on the outskirts of Bishops Cleeve, Cheltenham (directions). Throughout the season (September - April), we offer opportunities for children (aged 7-17) to get involved in this great sport. We welcome all abilities - from newcomer to experienced player. Tag rugby is played by the under 7 and under 8 groups, with older groups playing the contact game in accordance with RFU guidelines.
Currently there are over 350 players registered with us and all squads are managed by qualified coaches. All coaches and volunteers are CRB checked. We adhere closely to the RFU guidelines to ensure that all our children enjoy safe and secure playing conditions.
The season is a mixture of structured training, fixtures (see mini fixtures and junior fixtures) against local sides and entry into festivals and tournaments. When at home, sessions start on Sunday mornings at 10.00am and finish by around midday - food, refreshments and a licensed bar are available.
Last season was another very enjoyable and successful campaign with 4 age groups finishing as the Gloucestershire County Cup Champions !
