RUGBY FOOTBALL UNION DRAW / 2009 - PROCEEDS TO GO TOWARDS TOILET REFURBISHMENT AT NEWLANDS PARK
Published : November 2008
Key Information: Newlands Park Annual Report 2008 (MS doc)
Six months ago a Disability Equality Policy document was prepared as part of an Inclusion Programme. One of the major requirements was to build a Disabled toilet and refurbish the present toilets, so Newlands Park is accessible to everyone – plans are on display at Newlands.
Grant applications were made to cover the cost of £30,000
We have now obtained the following grants:
- Cory Environmental Trust £20,000
- Rugby Football Foundation (Groundmatch Scheme) £6,000
The RFU Draw presents an opportunity to raise funds for this project at Newlands. In addition 30 pence out of every ticket sold goes directly into your age group funds.
We have 10,000 tickets for the club to sell. If we sell all of these we’ll be able to press on with this refurbishment at Newlands and also provide valuable funds for your individual age groups.
The Newlands Park Annual Report has been put on the following websites:
Please read the report and see the fantastic progress we have made during the last 12 months and our objectives for 2009.
Mini and Junior players will be given a small allocation of raffle tickets and we would like you to sell all of your allocation. If however this is not possible then please return any unsold books to your age group manager/representative so that others in your group may have the opportunity to sell them before the deadline. Please return all counterfoils and money to your manager/representative, as soon as you can.
