Team Manager Description

JOB DESCRIPTION: Mini/Junior Team Manager

Responsible to: Cheltenham RC Mini & Junior Executive Committee

Main Purpose of Role: To coordinate the activity of an age group and provide liaison with main exec

MAIN DUTIES ARE TO: -

1. Work with the age group coach(es) and officials and ensure that they are CRB cleared

2. Complete the entry forms required for competitions and return

3. Welcome new members and induct them into the club

4. Take responsibility for allocated age group kit and equipment

5. Ensure that the age groups membership fees are paid by the end of September and to work with the Finance rep and Registration Secretary

6. Take responsibility for the age groups registration cards ensuring they are available for tournaments and county fixtures

7. Coordinate all details for away fixtures -providing transport details for the venue for parents and liaising with opposing team manager to confirm arrangements.

8. Take responsibility for fixtures arranged for the age group by the fixture secretary to ensure they are honoured. Organising extra fixtures for the age group as requested by the coaches

9. Organise the arrangements for home matches (referees, meal routine, etc.) and confirm all arrangements for a fixture with the opposing team

10. Work towards setting up an age group structure as recommended by the Exec in order to delegate some of the duties listed.

11. To promote club events and initiatives within the age group

12. Inform Exec of details of tours and ensure they comply with RFU guidelines

13. Oversee the coordination of any sponsorship agreements with club and sponsor

14. Ensure club disciplinary procedures are adhered to by all in the age group and liaise with Child Welfare Officer

15. Attend M & J managers meetings and, if unavailable, provide a deputy to attend
