As an amateur club, the M&Js rely on the efforts of managers, coaches, players and parents in order to succeed. The club recognises that without the help provided by all these groups then it would be difficult to attain the growth and success we have had.

RACEWEEK - 10-13 MARCH 2009

Please can you help ?

In raceweek we are able to capitalise on our excellent location at Newlands by renting out our car park spaces to racegoers and by selling food and drink in the clubhouse. We are able to raise several thousand pounds for our club in just four days and this is essential revenue.

To do this we need your help. We need some parents or other persons over 18 years of age to help staff the car park. We'll accept any reasonable suggestion of shift times but ideally we'd like some help each day along these lines:

2 people required 7.30am - 10.00am approx

To deal with the "early birds", many of whom will have pre-paid vouchers.

5 people required 10.00am - 1.30pm approx

To take money, to give out car park tickets, and to ensure that the cars park in the correct locations.

2 people required 1.30pm - 5.30pm approx

To stop other people coming onto the site and potentially blocking the entrance/exit/driveways - to keep a look-out over the parked cars, thereby ensuring that the cars are not vandalised.

Many M+J families have helped in previous years and we are really hoping for some new faces to come along this year rather than placing the burden on just a few of the same people. HELPERS WILL RECEIVE VOUCHERS TO USE AT NEWLANDS (at the rate of £6 per hour) SO PLEASE OFFER YOUR TIMES TO:
